UNWE will collaborate with the Chamber of Independent Appraisers in Bulgaria /CIAB/.

The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and the Chairman of CIAB Council Georgy Georgiev signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The Rector Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov pointed out the importance of the collaboration not only for the University but also for the business in general. "The opportunities given to students through these memoranda of cooperation have a wide range. They aim to provide better career development opportunities by meeting practitioners, organizing pre-graduate internships and practices as well as by organizing public lectures and discussions, advising on curriculum content, incorporating best practice and organizing public events."

The Chairman of CIAB Management Board Georgy Georgiev expressed thankfulness for the opportunity for the Chamber to partner with the UNWE and expressed readiness to work for this collaboration to be fruitful.

The Chamber of Independent Appraisers in Bulgaria /CIAB/ is a professional organization of physical persons who implement appraisal activities. The Chamber ensures and regulates the exercise of the profession of independent appraiser in the public interest. It is a body for the recognition of professional qualifications for the profession of independent assessor within the meaning of the Recognition of Professional Qualifications Act. Some of its objectives are to create, within the framework of the current legislation, conditions for the free choice of the appraiser by the clients; to provide assistance for the protection of the appraisers' copyrights on the software products, appraisal methodologies and other intellectual property rights developed by them in accordance with the current legislation on copyright and related rights; to prepare and present opinions on the adoption of new and the amendment of the current regulations relevant to the activities of the independent appraisers.
