A Graduate of UNWE Is the New Chairman of Sofia Municipal Council

The municipal councellors of Sofia Municipal Council /SMC/ elected Tsvetomir Petrov as Chairman of the SMC.

Tsvetomir Petrov has completed Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Master's degree in Administration Management at the UNWE.

In 2009 he has been Head of the Credit Control Team at CableTel where he led the team responsibel for the preparation, organization, and collection of debts. In 2010–2011 he held the position of Team Manager at S.G. Group OOD. From 2011 to 2013 he was marketing consultant at Kenvelo Bulgaria Ltd.

From 2013 to 2015 he has been regional representative for Sofia of ISDR /Independent Sitetalk Deals Representative/ and ISCR /Independent Sitetalkcashback Representative/ of The Opportunity Network Ltd. where he has prepared, organized, developed and managed the overall commercial policy of the company. He has ensured the proper functioning of the order fulfilment system by providing training, support and motivation if necessary, as well as administrative compliance. He has prepared a plan for travel around the region making sure that the most important sites get the necessary coverage and new business opportunities are realized.

In the period 2015–2018 he has been an expert in Sofia Regional Administration where he organized and managed the work of the Documentation Office, the full material and technical support of the administration and the implementation of procedures under the Public Procurement Act.

From 2018 to 2021, he has been a senior expert at the Ministry of Environment and Water. His activity has been focused on the preparation of all types of acts and the documents approved by them related to the preparation, launch, and conduct of public procurement procedures under the Public Procurement Act /PPA/, participation in committees for the examination, evaluation, and ranking of bids received for public procurement, carrying out all actions foreseen in the Public Procurement Act after the completion of the contract, completing, archiving, and inventory of procurement files.

In October 2023 he has been elected as Municipal Councellor in the Metropolitan Municipal Council.
