"This Certificate is extremely important for us. It is the product of profound analysis of a great number of quantitative and qualitative criteria and really shows that we are good at providing high-quality education", did not hide his pride of the high institutional evaluation the Rector of UNWE.

The President of the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency /NEAA/ Prof. Dr. Eliza Stefanova explained that the institutional accreditation demonstrates the quality provided by the respective higher education institution to the students. It is an evaluation not only of the educational process but also of everything that the institution offers from the beginning of the education until graduation. "The process of adaptation at the beginning is sometimes difficult and requires a special mentoring support. At a later stage, it is more important to consider what career orientation opportunities are provided, what are the relations with the business and how to attract specialists from practice and from state enterprises in the discussion process of the curricula and programmes for the respective specialties. All this must be integrated into the learning process. The environment in which the students develop must also be of a sufficiently high level. We have to make sure that we've created good conditions for the students so they can acquire the best education and subsequently find professional realization in the labour market", said Prof. Dr. Eliza Stefanova, adding that the policy of the University is important but the process of policy implementation which has to be controlled by the University, upgraded and improved is also of great importance.

"The institutional accreditation is important because it considers the learning process as a system," explained Prof. Stefanova.

At the meeting at the UNWE together with Prof. Dr. Eliza Stefanova attended also Prof. Dr. Galina Mladenova, Chairwoman of the Standing Committee on Economic Sciences and Management at NEAA. On behalf of UNWE together with the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov participated also Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova, Acting Vice-Rector for Educational Activity and Chairwoman of the Accreditation Commission, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elena Simeonova, Secretary General for Accreditation, Mrs. Gergana Kirilova, Director of the Rector's Office and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosen Kirilov, Acting Vice-Rector for Digitalization and Cyber Security.

"The assessment of UNWE is 9.80 and in fact, it is currently the highest result for the institutional accreditation of a higher education institution. We consider this result as an assessment of the University's activity as a whole. We found a very good relation between the separate activities. Perhaps one of the important things is that the UNWE has very strong professional fields and does not allow refocusing in non-specific areas. Perhaps exactly focusing on specifific area is helping the University. The UNWE Managing Body itself with the experience obtained in all these fields over the years has developed good enough policies that it tries to follow consistently. It gives results. Congratulations!"

The Rector, Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov expressed thankfulness to all those who have worked very hard on collecting the primary data and preparation of the self-evaluation report for institutional accreditation (adopted by the Academic Council Decision No. 8/27-29.01.2022 and submitted to the NEAA on 21 December 2022) - the members of the Accreditation Commission and the members of the working groups. He also expressed special gratitude to Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova for the expert guidance and coordination of the overall quality accreditation process, to the Secretary General for Accreditation /at the time of the preparation of the self-evaluation report/ and to the Chairwoman of the Accreditation Commission.
