The Rector Awarded to the Inter-University Center for Career Development the Commemorative Medal of Prof. Stefan Bobchev

The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov awarded to Atanas Dimitrov, Director of the Inter-University Center for Career Development (ICCD), the Commemorative medal of Prof. Stephan Bobchev - Founder and First Rector of UNWE.

The awarding ceremony was held during the last of the year Rector and Deans Council. The award is conferred for contribution to the strengthening of the good name and authority of UNWE and on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Inter-University Center for Career Development.

"Over the years, the ICCD has turned into a leading career center in Bulgaria, it become a preffered contact point for both employers and students. Significant are the initiatives organized by the Centre which have already become a tradition such as the Open Doors Days, Career Days, and the Best Student Start-up. Events are held in front of the ICCD office daily or school visits in Bulgaria and abroad are organized. Recently a team from the Centre was in Macedonia. A great merit for all this has the Director Atanas Dimitrov and the Vice-Rector for Institutional and Business Cooperation and Student Policies Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova", said the Rector during the awarding ceremony.

Mr. Atanas Dimitrov expressed his gratitude to the Rector for the recognition: "Without your support, the work of the Inter-University Center for Career Development would certainly not be what it is today. I hope you will continue to support our bold, sometimes crazy ideas. For 20 years the ICCD has been developed activity related to the professional orientation and career development of young people. Even in the early stages of their education the students find their internships and jobs due to our help. Starting 20 years ago we were looking for a business, now the business seeks us which is a kind of attestation for our work. 20 years of Building a Future, that is also our slogan. The journey continues, and so do we".
