Five UNWE Students Are among the Winners of the Huawei Technologies Bulgaria Scholarship Programme

At a solemn ceremony Huawei Technologies Bulgaria awarded certificates to Bulgarian students who in 2023 has participated in both company programmes - the scholarship programme and the Seeds for the Future training programme. These are world-leading corporate social responsibility programmes that provide students with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of information and communication technologies. The programmes provide digital skills enrichment, leadership development and cultural student exchange from around the world that could be beneficial in their future career development.

The UNWE students Beloslava Zlateva, specialty International Economics and Politics, Melany Matova, specialty Marketing, Konstantin Angelov, specialty Tourism Management, Natalia Stoyanova, specialty Entrepreneurship and Presiana Cholakova, specialty Advertising Management, are among the winners of the scholarship programme of Huawei Technologies Bulgaria.

Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova, Vice-Rector for Institutional and Business Cooperation and Student Policies of the UNWE took also part in the ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova awarded the certificates to two of the winners and outlined that such scholarship and training programmes, such as the Seeds for the Future, are very useful for students because they provide them with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of global business, science, technology and economics. "This adds great value to student's education and gives them a further opportunity to develop", said Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova.

Official guests of the event were the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Mr. Nikolay Pavlov, Mr. Konstantin Stoychev, Advisor to the Political Cabinet of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Acting Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Mrs Wang Ming, Corr. Member Evdokia Pasheva, Vice President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences /BAS/, experts from the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Rectors and professors from partner universities as well as business and industry representatives.

During the event, as part of the cultural exchange, the guests enjoyed the performances by Bulgarian singer DIA, traditional Chinese music performances and a tea ceremony.
