Dear Guests from the University of Peloponnese Visited our University

Yesterday guests at the Economics of Natural Resources Department were Prof. Dr. Dimitrios Petropoulos, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food, Prof. Dr. Anastasios Daras, Head of the Floriculture and Landscape Architecture Department and Prof. Dr. Odysseas Spiliopoulos, Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Peloponnese.

Prof. Petropoulos, a graduate of our Department /as an undergraduate and Doctoral student/, addressed to the current students with enthusiasm. He not only presented his topic The Geopolitics of Food but also exposed a number of global problems of our times that the next generations would have to solve - hunger, obesity, food surplus, waste, etc.

The lecture of Assoc. Prof. Daras on the Sustainable Ornamental Plant Production, Distribution and Trade presented the role of selected production, transportation and trade technologies for sustainability. The lecturer drew the students' attention to the impact of each donated rose which originates from a distant country or another continent, on the ecological footprint.

Prof. Dr. Zornitsa Stoyanova made associated the accents of the two lectures with the contents of the courses studied by the students of Agribusiness and Eco-Economics.

Prof. Dr. Yulia Doychinova expressed thankfulness to the guests for the shared knowledge and fruitful collaboration.

Assoc. Prof. Odysseas Spiliopoulos delivered a lecture to the students of speciality Finance and Accounting taught in English.
