3 Times Increase in the Number of Distance Learning Students at the UNWE

3 times increase in the number of students was reported by the Centre for Distance Learning of UNWE which a few days ago officially opened the academic year 2023/2024  with a virtual meeting and an instruction session.

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov has recorded a personal video address to the students pointing out that our University has been educating students in distance form of learning for 25 years implementing the practices of established universities in the field.

"We invest a lot in online resources. The textbooks are specially written for your online learning. You'll see how many possibilities the system you learn in - Moodle - gives you. Virtually the entire process of learning and testing knowledge takes place here. You will see that your lecturers can even track the activities you have done in preparing the assignments they have set you", added Prof. Dimitrov.

The Director of Centre for Distance Learning at UNWE Prof. Dr. Hristo Katrandzhiev welcomed the first-year students and outlined the positive trends related to the increased admission in distance learning. Dr. Geneta Karavasileva, member of the Center for Distance learning, presented to students the basic technical features of Moodle learning system and gave important instructions on the requirements for the first-year students to work in an electronic environment.
