Students of Post-Graduate Qualification on Legal Regulation and Customs Control Received Their Certificates

At an official ceremony the students of post-graduate qualification on Legal Regulation and Customs Control received their certificates in Bulgarian and English. The professional qualification is conducted by the Institute for Postgraduate Studies /IPS/ at UNWE in cooperation with the National Training Centre of the Customs Agency and it is the result of over 30 years of partnership. The event was held in the Ceremonial Hall.

"On behalf of the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and on my own behalf, I am very pleased to greet you with the successful completion of the post-graduate qualification on Legal Regulation and Customs Control. UNWE's cooperation with the Customs Agency has a long history. It dates back to 1992 when the first training of the Agency's staff began and it continues successfully up to now. Therefore, I could firmly say that we have a very good partnership with the Customs Agency. It is joyful that over 20 people have successfully completed the qualification. I am confident that what you have learnt here will help you both in your professional growth and development and in enriching your knowledge. Because as at the Institute of Post-Graduate Studies which has a history of more than 50 years and at the UNWE work some of the best specialists in the field", said Prof Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova, Vice Rector for Institutional and Business Cooperation and Student Policies of UNWE.

"It is a great pleasure and honour to be here with you today. I cannot hide the excitement I feel every time I enter the UNWE building", said the Director of the Customs Agency Pavel Tonev, and a graduate of UNWE: "On the one hand, memories of unforgettable student years come flooding back, and on the other hand, there is the excitement caused by my respect and esteem to the lecturers at the UNWE. I am grateful for the good partnership between the UNWE and the team of the National Training Centre of the Customs Agency for the efforts they have made so that today we have the opportunity to gather and award to you the certificates of successful completion of this qualification. I would like to assure you that the management of the Customs Agency prioritizes the education and qualification of customs officers. In today's dynamic times the challenges we face require it. In order to be a professional, a person must constantly develop, improve himself and improve his professional training. I believe that this qualification is a good step on the way to the professional realization at the Customs Agency.

"For me one of the most important and valuable things is your contentment that you have expressed not only from kindness but because you find meaning in this training", addressed the attendees the Director of the IPS Prof. D.Sc./Econ./ Zhivko Draganov and added: "This training is not only the fruit of our cooperation but we from the UNWE and the National Training Centre of the Customs Agency always had the aspiration to make this training useful for the professional development of the trainees. And in the future we will rely on feedback to improve the training process".

The event was attended by Vanya Clifova, Director of the National Training Centre of the Customs Agency and part of the lecturers of the post-graduate qualification on Legal Regulation and Customs control.

The ceremony continued with awarding of professional qualification certificates to graduates.
