Excellent Evaluation by the Ministry of Education and Science for the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov

The Rector of the University of National and World Economy and Secretary General of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Bulgaria Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov received the highest evaluation of 4.00 by the Minister of Education and Science Prof. Dr. Galin Tsokov for the implementation of his management contract in compliance with the policies set by the Ministry of Education and Science.

"We owe this success to the fact that we have high standards and constantly build on what we have achieved. We are in a constant process of transformation. We have made a lot of changes that will be even more visible in the future", said the Rector of the largest business university reminding that UNWE had a record number of applicants this year and a higher admission score.

"One of the biggest changes has been in the curriculum and the content of the curriculum. We have more elective subjects, more opportunities for students, more exercises. We are a member of the elite European university network ENGAGE.EU. We provide internship and mobility opportunities to over 100 foreign universities. Almost 100% of our graduates find professional realization while studying. The proportion of young scientists involved in research projects is already 60%. We have made efforts to be a green university and we open one of the largest photovoltaic parks in the sphere of education. The renovation of our university library will also be completed soon", added Prof. Dimitrov.

Since 2020 the state higher education institutions management have been implemented in compliance with the policies approved by the Minister of Education and Science. 1. Relevance, consistency, integrity of acquired knowledge and skills; 2. Improvement of the quality of educational programmes through the use of educational forms, methods and technologies adapted to the characteristics of the generation of students being educated; 3. Networking and partnership; 4. Development of scientific activity; 5. Attraction and retention of young lecturers; 6. Public commitments of national importance.

The implementation of this key reform is impossible without the active participation of all colleagues, outlined the Rector in his speech. "Thank you for the high quality of teaching, for the development of research and the partnerships network. You are the high rating of UNWE!", expressed his gratitude Prof. Dimitrov. Dimitrov.
