Wednesday, 27 September 2023 17:40

A Conference on Youth Entrepreneurship was held at the UNWE and the guest speakers were young entrepreneurs who presented their experience in bringing projects on the market. They talked about their business path, the difficulties they had encountered along the way and how they had found the best solutions for themselves and their entrepreneurial efforts.

Before their presentation Nevena Dobreva, organizer of the event and President of the Foundation for Entrepreneurship, Culture and Education, told more about the project Young Entrepreneurs in Times of Crisis /YETS/, in which the Foundation is leading, together with other European youth organizations from 5 countries. For the last 20 months they have been working on the project which is funded by the National Agency for Human Resource Development under the Erasmus+ Programme. Dobreva presented the 4 objectives of the project, the results achieved, including the empirical study that gives them a clear picture of the state of youth entrepreneurship and its demands in different countries. She pointed out that in the EU it is being done a lot for young people and for the development of the entrepreneurial spirit. At the same time, the study has found that the statistics on youth entrepreneurship in Bulgaria are quite scarce which is also acknowledged in the National Youth Strategy 2020-2030, and it prevents building workable policies and strategies.
