The President of the National Assembly of Viet Nam Vuong Dinh Hue Will Deliver a Public Lecture at the UNWE on 25 September

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam H. E. Do Hoang Long met with the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov. The main topic of the visit was the forthcoming visit of the President of the National Assembly of Viet Nam Vuong Dinh Hue to Bulgaria and the public lecture he will deliver at the UNWE on 25 September 2023 at 4.30 p.m. in Maxima Aula.

The Rector expressed thankfulness to H. E. Do Hoang Long for choosing the UNWE to host the lecture aimed at promoting the Vietnamese-Bulgarian relations. The President of the National Assembly of Viet Nam Vuong Dinh Hue will pay an official visit to Bulgaria from 21 to 25 September 2023 at the invitation of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Zhelyazkov.

Along with the representative of the highest office in the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the following guests are expected to attend the event: Mr. BUI, Van Cuong, Secretary General of the National Assembly; Mr. Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Mr. Le Quang Huy, Head of National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment; the Secretary General and Chairman of Nghe Anh Provincial People's Committee; the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Industry, Planning and Investment, Culture and Tourism, etc. Representatives of academic circles, business, government administration, Members of Parliament, scientific, social and industrial organizations are invited to attend the public lecture.  

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgy Nikolov, Head of the Regional Development Department, the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Gergana Kirilova, Director of the Rector's Office, the Ambassador of Vietnam H. E. Do Hoang Long and a representative of the Embassy

During the meeting with the Rector, the future partnership between the UNWE and Vietnamese universities was also discussed. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov outlined the UNWE's leading positions in elaborating joint programmes with universities from all over the world, UNWE's participation in the project ENGAGE.EU together with eight prestigious universities from Europe and providing internships and mobility to over 100 foreign universities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Vuong Dinh Hue is a Vietnamese politician and Professor in Economics. He is currently the President of the National Assembly of Viet Nam. He has served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. He was previously Minister of Finance and Head of the PCC Economic Commission, the Central Committee for Economic Policies and Strategies Consulting Agency.
