Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvia Terezova is the New Chairperson of the National Council on Prices and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvia Teresova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Infrastructure, is the new Chairperson of the National Council on Prices and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products /NCPRMP/ by Decision No. 581 of the Council of Ministers of 31 August 2023 on changes in the composition of the Council.
Along with her obligations as Dean, Assoc. Prof. Teresova is also the Head of the Economics of Trade Department. She graduated her Master`s degree in Economics of Trade from the University of National and World Economy and then began teaching in the same Department and continued her development there. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvia Terezova is the author of the books Analysis of the Trade Activity, 2012; Business Plan of the Trade Company, 2011; Methods and Models for the Commodity Categories Management in the Trade, 2009, etc. Her research interests are in planning and analysis, assortment policy, economic and mathematical methods and models. Assoc. Prof. Sylvia Terezova has worked in the Committee on Prices at the Council of Ministers as a specialist in the Agriculture, Public Nutrition and Trade Directorate, Trade and Public Nutrition Sector. From 2013 until August 2023 she was a member of the National Council on Prices and Pricе Formation of Medicinal Products.
The National Council on Prices and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products has the status of a state commission. It approves and registers the prices of medicinal products, includes products in the Positive Drug List /PDL/; approves pharmacotherapeutic guidelines and recommendations for algorithms for treatment with medicinal products; controls the sale of medicinal products with approved prices.
The National Council maintains and updates the public registers of: the prices of medicinal products included in the PDL and paid for with public funds; the marginal prices of medicinal products subject to prescription not included in the PDL; the maximum selling prices of medicinal products without prescription; the Positive Drug List; the national identification numbers of medicinal products.
