The Rector Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Start-Up Company Jobii

The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and Kaloyan Ivanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jobii Ltd., signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Jobii is an innovative start-up IT company that has developed a platform functioning with the help of artificial intelligence and connecting employers with job candidates.

“We have a great potential for fruitful cooperation”, said the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and added: "The platform provided by Jobii will bring added value for both the students and the business. On the one hand, it will enable employers to look for the necessary staff having the right education and the right profile of specialization, and on the other hand it will enable students to find the right job in their specialty".

Kaloyan Ivanov, who is also Doctoral student at the UNWE expressed his thankfulness to Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov for the initiative to sign the agreement and emphasized: "The Jobii platform is an innovative start-up functioning with the help of artificial intelligence. Its idea, apart from the standard features provided by similar websites, platforms and recruitment agencies, is to help the most suitable talents to find the most suitable employers and their place to develop. The platform allows to registered candidates not just to search for a suitable job but also to browse through a set of job ads and try to decide what is the most appropriate job for them and the platform itself through the artificial intelligence continuously sends the candidates recommendations for positions that match their qualifications".

The document states that the UNWE and Jobii will collaborate by informing the UNWE students about internships and public events on presenting the work of Jobii.

The scope of the Memorandum also includes the exchange of information and publications on activities and on major events held by the Jobii and UNWE and assistance for the participation of the company representatives in presentations to students, in lectures, seminars, conferences, meetings or in other events organized by the University.

There is also an opportunity for partnership in the preparation of joint projects and their subsequent implementation and assistance in conducting trainings in Bachelor`s, Master`s and Doctoral degree programmes at UNWE for specialists and employees of Jobii.

The company will assist in participation of lecturers and other representatives of UNWE in meetings, lectures, expert opinions, consultations, statistical and other studies and events organized by the Jobii.

Cooperation through mutual assistance in conducting other specific activities and events, such as academies and participation in start-up companies are also part of the agreement.

The Coordinator for the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation from the UNWE is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noncho Dimitrov,Vice Dean for Quality and International Cooperation of the Economics of Infrastructure Faculty and Scientific Secretary of the National and Regional Security Department, and the Coordinator from the Jobii is Kaloyan Ivanov.

On behalf of UNWE the event was attended by Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova, Deputy Rector for Institutional and Business Cooperation and Student Policies.
