Maxima Aula Opened Its Doors for the Graduation of the Pupils from the National High School of Finance and Economics

A solemn ceremony for the graduation of the pupils of the National High School of Finance and Economics /NHSFE/ was held in Maxima Aula of UNWE.

Official guests from the UNWE were Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities, Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova, Vice-Rector for Institutional and Business Cooperation and Student Policies, Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschian, Chairperson of the Association of Economic Schools in Bulgaria. The ceremony on the official awarding of diplomas to the graduates from Class 2023 was opened by Mrs. Maya Gesheva, Director of the National High School of Finance and Economics /NHSFE/.

"Today is a special day in the annals of the National High School of Finance and Economics because the Class 2023 is also the 110th Jubilee Class of the School. There is something solemn and symbolic that the awarding of diplomas takes place precisely in Maxima Aula of UNWE where the new academic year of the university is traditionally opened. Let this set the direction of your academic paths, of your human and professional victories", welcomed the graduating pupils the Director Maya Gesheva and expressed her thankfulness to the UNWE for the partnership and support in the preparation for the National Competitions. She noted that the diploma they obtain is an extremely important document that evaluates their efforts over the last 5 years in the field of general and professional training and along with it they receive a certificate of professional qualification of Economist which "also throws a bridge to what is ahead, to your advanced professional preparation. It is no coincidence that 80-90 percent of our graduates in the recent years have chosen the UNWE, the largest business university in Southeastern Europe, the oldest higher economic school in Bulgaria. Here you, as future students, can find a content career development", said in conclusion the School Director.

Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova welcomed the graduating pupils on behalf of the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and wished them to develop their potential, to strive for future professional and creative success. She noted that their diplomas are extremely significant because they have graduated from one of the leading national high schools in the field of economics: "We would be delighted if you would continue your higher education at our university which offers 53 Bachelor`s degree specialitites that will contribute to your future professional development".

"Dear graduates, it is a great pleasure for me that today I can welcome you with the completion of your secondary education exactly in Maxima Aula of UNWE. The graduation from the NHSFE is the first step of your path to success and the second step is the training at our University", said the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova noting that in front of Maxima Aula is located the Wall of Fame of UNWE where are inscribed the names of the University graduates who have held senior state positions - Prime Ministers, Chairpersons of the National Assembly, Ministers, Governors of the BNB and many others. "For example, 10 Bulgarian Prime Ministers have graduated from our university. As I see many winners of the National Competitions in the hall I am sure you will continue your studies at the UNWE and add your names to our Wall of Fame", said Professor Stoyanova.

The Chairperson of the Association of Economic Schools in Bulgaria Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschian emotionally welcomed the graduates of NHSFE: "Dear grown-up girls and boys, we welcome you on the threshold of your adulthood! You are the 110th Class of a school that creates talent. Your school is a member of the Association of Economic Schools in Bulgaria and here among you I see the winners of the National Competitions, you are the winners in Finance and Accounting, in Economics, in Economics and Management. In fact, a significant part of you are already students at the UNWE. You are the living proof of the implemented good relation between the school – the university – the business".

Magdalena Todorova from 12A class received her diploma first. By decision of the Pedagogical Council she was announced as the first prize winner of Class 2023 for her excellent grades throughout the course of studies, excellent results in the final exams and overall contribution to the promotion of the school's name.  The diploma was awarded by Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova.

The excellent graduate Hristiana Alexieva received her diploma from Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova.

Prof. Dr. Daniela Fesciyan awarded the diploma to Josephine Perschon.

The diplomas of the best graduating pupils were awarded on stage: Bozhidar Stoichkov, Martin Grozev, Yoana Tsvetkova, Victoria Koleva, Borislava Bozhkova, Raya Khandjzhieva, Michaela Sokolova, Martina Atanasova, Marina Kirilova, Karolina Marinova, Victoria Gospodinova, Viktor Milkov, Anita Velichkova, Katerina Atanasova, Veronika Prefukliyska, Elizabeth Angelova, Emily Emilova, Ivana Dimitrova, Mirela Venova, Victoria Stateva, Semira Hadzhinikolova.

"These are the pupils for whom the knowledge and success were a cause, who glorified the school and for whom the excellence was not only a matter of honour but also of a deeply realized necessity to always strive for the top", said the School Director Maya Gesheva.
