The UNWE Announced Its First Ranking

The University of National and World Economy has announced the first ranking for the academic year 2023/2024. The results are available on the UNWE website and can be accessed by prospective students through their profiles.

"We enjoy a record interest for the recent years. Over 6100 prospective students wish to study at the UNWE", announced the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov.

The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov wished good luck to all prospective students and gave a symbolic start to the enrolment of admitted ones by personally publishing the results

This year the enrolment process has been considerably facilitated and fully digitized. Each prospective student receives an automatic message from the university's software platform whether it has been admitted or whether it can continue to a second ranking.

The ranked applicants may enroll in the speciality they have been admitted or confirm their wish to participate in the subsequent stages of the ranking process. If they wish to study in the desired specialty but their place in the reserves is not pleased to them, the paid form of study is an option. It is enough to submit the appropriate application to be enrolled.

We already have over 200 applicants enrolled in paid form of study. The difference in the semester fees is minimal - 300 or 400 BGN for the state contract vacancies depending on the direction compared to 800 or 1100 BGN for the paid tuition. The semester fees at the UNWE remain among the lowest in the country. The policy of the UNWE is to grant the right to dormitory to all its students regardless of the chosen form of study.

Since this year, after logging into their individual profile, the prospective students will also be able to see the minimum scores and the number of reserves before them. Thus they will be able to assess for themselves their chances of admission to the desired speciality. If they have liked the speciailty they are ranked in at this stage, they can enroll online or onsite.

Also since this year for the first time the UNWE admits students on joint programmes with other universities. The interest in the first two programmes of such kind in Bulgaria - Cybersecurity and e-Government and Computer Processing and Data Analysis jointly with the University of Thrace is very high. Practically, this means two parallel rankings and applicants have to decide in which specialty they want to study and to mark it in their profile. Students will mainly study at the UNWE and when there is necessary external training or specialized laboratories they will visit the University of Thrace. Graduates will receive a diploma signed by both Rectors.
