UNWE Will Create Video Training Programme for Internationalization of Small and Medium Businesses Jointly with the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises

Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of UNWE and Dr. Boyko Takov, Executive Director of the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises /EAPSME/, in his capacity of Head of the National Contact Point of Bulgaria for Responsible Business Behaviour, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The main areas of bilateral cooperation will be the presentation of Bulgaria's National Contact Point /NCP/ mechanism for Responsible Business Behaviour according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development /OECD/ Guidelines to the relevant teaching staff of the University through which the information will reach the students.

The agreement also includes joint preparation through the teaching capacity of the university of the theoretical part of topics related to the internationalization and the creation of short training films for companies taking steps to export their goods and services.

The Memorandum also covers the bilateral cooperation in the following areas - cooperation in the preparation of joint projects and their subsequent implementation, cooperation through mutual assistance in conducting other specific activities and events such as Academies of mutual interest in order to support the successful implementation of the policies, objectives and tasks of both parties.

The duration of the Memorandum is 3 years in which it will be aimed at introducing and supporting students and businesses

The UNWE is the first university to have a first-hand experience of the National Contact Point mechanism and the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Behaviour. UNWE is also the first partner university with which joint activities contained in the NCP promotional plan are planned.

"This Memorandum will help expand the knowledge of our students. Our colleagues from the Agency will be involved in the trainings in Bachelor`s, Master`s and Doctoral degree programmes of UNWE on the topics of internationalization of Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises /SME`s/", said the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov.

"According to me the video training programme for the internationalization of SME`s, which is about to develop together, is an important economic mechanism to help enterprises that want to export goods and services abroad", said the Executive Director of the Agency Dr. Boyko Takov.

The signing of the Memorandum was attended by Gabriela Georgieva and Vesela Petrova, experts at EAPSME and graduates of UNWE, Dr. Boyko Takov, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova, Vice Rector for Institutional and Business Cooperation and Student Policies, Desislava Paunska, Head of Public Relations and Marketing Division
