The UNWE Aerobics and Cheerleading Sports Team Won the First Place in an International Student Sport Tournament in Belgrade

First place at the International Student Sport Tournament 2023 in Belgrade won our golden girls from the cheerleading team of UNWE. In the prestigious International Tournament took part the strong teams from Greece, Croatia, Germany, Lebanon, Netherlands and Serbia.

In Belgrade our competitors Rayna Radeva, Lidiya Nanova, Ivayla Valeva, Andrea Marinova, Maria Todorova, Maria Ananieva, Tetyana Kharchuk, Desiana Borisova and Mihaela Petrova represented the UNWE and Bulgaria worthily winning the championship cup after a perfect performance of their composition and leaving behind them the teams of Greece and Serbia.

"Our girls are wonderful, besides they are very beautiful and extremely talented, they are also excellent students who have defended the honour of our university in an undisputed way on the international podium. They put a lot of drive and motivation in their preparation for the Tournament and did an excellent job", said the team coach Sen. Lect. Dr. Milena Ignatova.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Stoilov, Head of the Physical Education and Sport Department, is also extremely contented with the results achieved by the team. "The girls performing well not only in Bulgaria but also on the international sports scene." He reminded that the cheerleading team opens and closes every event of the Department, and the girls are always serious, responsible and deservedly have worthily deserved their success.
