Meeting with the Prospective Students from 19. Elin Pelin High School
In the frameworks of initiatives for active cooperation with the secondary schools a team of UNWE lecturers from the Economics of Transport and Energy Department and the Pedagogy Department presented the opportunities and specialties for admission to the University in 2023 to the pupils of 11th and 12th grade at 19. Elin Pelin High School in Sofia.
The Deputy Director of the High School Mrs. Stefka Georgieva presented the University team to the pupils. She pointed out that the UNWE as a leading university in the field of economics, administration and management, law and social sciences provides opportunities for further education to pupils graduating from the school of business and entrepreneurship with intensive study of foreign languages.

Prof. Hristina Nikolova, Chief Assist. Dr. Maria Kazakova and Dr. Rumina Valkova told the pupils about the profile of the university, its history and achievements as well as about the specialties and directions in which they can apply. They got the pupils know the details about the conditions and requirements for applying to the different specialties and the new requirements in the rules for admission in 2023 related to the recognition of the results from the state matriculation examination in various subjects, including the profiling subjects. Attention was also drawn to the opportunities for pupils to participate in various contest and competitions organized by the UNWE Departments and partner schools which enables the admission of the winners to appropriate specialties.

In response to the question "Why should I choose UNWE and how will you convince me to apply for a particular specialty at this university?" it was paid special attention to the extremely strong ties of the University with the business and the various opportunities for practical internships and training in the largest and most prestigious international and Bulgarian companies in the country which partner with UNWE and its Inter-University Center for Career Development. The team of the University also told about the success of the Student Council and the active student self-government activities in which every student can participate.

The pupils from 19. Elin Pelin High School showed a keen interest in the international activities of the University as well as in the numerous opportunities for participation in international mobility and studying different courses at foreign universities within the European University Network ENGAGE.EU. They asked questions about the specificity and profile of the different degree programmes, their curricula and future professional career and received detailed information about it.
