First Place in The First Issue of The Competition for Young Auditor

Students from UNWE won the awarded places in the first issue of the competition for Young Auditor. The first place won Kiril Bashikarov, third year undergraduate in speciality Accountancy, second place – Bilyana Dramliyska from Master`s Programme Financial Management and third place – Radko Kovachev, third year undergraduate in speciality Accountancy. Awards for creative thinking and original approach were given to Donita Panayotova and Tsvetelina Ilchova - also students in speciality Accountancy.

The awards for the first three winners were scholarships from the University of Insurance and Finance (organizer of the event) established by HLB Bulgaria Ltd. and Zaharinova & Partners Ltd. as well as one month internships at these two audit companies. Chairman of the jury evaluating the cases was Prof. Dr. Ognyan Simeonov, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector on Education in Educational Qualification Degree of Bachelor at the UNWE and members of the jury were leading auditors.

The competition had three stages – filling a test on audit, doing a real audit opinion, evaluation of cases and more than 90 students from Bulgarian and foreign universities participated in it.
