The Historical Hitchhiker's Guide by Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev was the first book presented on the Day 5 of the Week of the Book. "This book is a significant step in the attempt to overcome misinterpretations in Bulgarian history. All the processes and events described in it are known, the new is seen in the interpretation and in the conclusions", said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marko Dimitrov from the Political Economy Department who presented the book.

"There is a great need for a new reading of Bulgarian history in order to remove things that are the fruit of ideology and deliberate distortion of historical truth. It is good that the author does not set himself the megalomaniac task of rewriting history but only wants to provoke, to contribute to getting closer to the truth", added Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marko Dimitrov.

"The book presents to great extent what our university is. In book has political economy, history, essays. It presents my conversations with colleagues, moments of intellectual interaction with most of the people who are here. The intellectual environment that exists at the University has helped to write these books", said Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev.

"The Historical Hitchhiker's Guide is a continuation and addition to the essay collection Past Unfinished. Missed Lessons of Bulgarian History". The book is an invitation to a conversation that aims to help everyone reach an answer to the question of the meaning of historical knowledge”, is said in the book's annotation. It is a rigorous selection of scholarly material, presented in language that is accessible to people who are not necessarily professional historians.

The book "The Digital World - The Change Global Digital Transformation - Enriching or Impoverishing the Humanity by Prof. Dr. Lyuben Boyanov examines the ongoing digital transformation of the Earth, in which process transformations are taking place in every sphere of human activity. With the advent of the phenomenon of the Internet of Objects /of Things/, every object, every type of human activity and even every living being gets the opportunity to be digitized.

"The main theme is related to what is the importance of digitalization in terms of collecting big data from everything and everywhere. My first monograph was on the Internet of Objects, which was rumored to happen, today there is a working Internet of Objects where we get information from and that's why the title of this book is about the digital world and change. In it, I look at how the whole Earth, and all the activities around us are being digitized. And it's an important question - as everything becomes digital, where do we, as humans, stay?", shared to the audience Prof. Boyanov.
