UNWE Lecturers Led an Online Seminar at Ho Chi Minh University of Economics and Finance, Vietnam

On 23 November 2022 Prof. D.Sc. /Econ./ Nikolay Nenovsky, Director of the Monetary Research Center and Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev, Head of the Political Economy Department, led an online Seminar devoted to the research and publication activity at Ho Chi Minh University of Economics and Finance, Vietnam.

The Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mihail Musov welcomed the participants in the Seminar on behalf of the UNWE Managing body and expressed readiness for future cooperation between the two universities in organizing similar events, facilitate publications and participation in joint projects.

The UNWE lecturers were invited by their Vietnamese colleagues to share their experiences on different national and university strategies for research in the field of economic sciences, appropriate topics for international publications, selection of reputable journals and procedures for reviewing articles in scientific journals.

The UNWE English-language journal Economic Alternatives was also presented. It is refereed in Scopus and its Editor in Chief is Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev. 27 lecturers from the Vietnamese university took part in the online Seminar and had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss topics important to them related to their research activities. According to the assessment of Vietnamese colleagues, the Seminar has been successful and useful for them. At the end, the Bulgarian and Vietnamese lecturers agreed on the necessity to organize other specialized seminars.
