It Starts A Project on The 7th Framework Programme by Its Coordinator UNWE

The first working meeting of the five states participants in the project on The Functioning of The Local Production Systems in the Conditions of Economic Crisis (Comparative Analysis and Benchmarking for the EU and Beyond) (FOLPSEC) was held at the Small Conference Hall of the university. UNWE is the coordinator of the project on the 7th Framework Programme as the contract for its implementation has been signed in the beginning of the year.

The meeting was opened by Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Valentin Kisimov, Vice-Rector of the university who greeted the attendants on behalf of the Rector Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev and shared his confidence in the effective operation of the Forum. Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Stanka Tonkova, Director of the Center for Research and Educational Projects presented Bulgarian participants. The other participants- partners in the project also presented themselves – the University of Lodz - Poland, the Matej Bel University Banska Bystrica – Slovakia, the Institute of Economics and Industrial Engineering of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences – Russia, the Novosibirsk State University – Russia as well as the Ternopil National Economic University – Ukraine.

The participants in the International Forum 

The main objective of the project is to profound the theoretical research of the local production systems and to encourage their practical application as thus it responds to the challenges in overwhelming the consequences of economic crisis. The project duration is three years and it must be completed in April 2015.
