In A Simulative Game Students “Signed” A Declaration for Collaboration in Southeastern Europe

Scientific Conference in a non-standard format was held at the university. Students form the specialities International Relations, European Study, Political Science and the field of Political Science read their reports and discussed on the Process for Collaboration in Southeastern Europe. During the second part of the Forum in the simulative game was performed a meeting at high level of The Process for Collaboration in Southeastern Europe. 

This is the second Conference that conducts as an integral activity of the scientific research project on The Interests and Possibilities between The States in Southeastern Europe and its Head is Assoc. Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Maria Tchavdarova. “Main acting personae in this scientific forum are the students” outlined the lecturer from the Political Science Department who presented the first value of the issue “Interests and Possibilities for Collaboration between The States in Southeastern Europe” which contains the reports from the first Conference. It is important to be identified the common interests between people in our geographic, economic and political region, pointed out at the opening of the Forum Prof. Dr. Dinko Dinkov from the International Relations Department. 

The Conference programme was structured in three panels. The first part of discussion was on The Main Spheres of Sub-Regional Collaboration in Southeastern Europe – Prescriptive and Descriptive Method. Participants had the chance to listen as well as the report of Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Velko Marinov for the economic collaboration in Southeastern Europe as also the statements of students for the infrastructure projects of the states from the Balkan region, the priorities and possibilities for economic collaboration, humanitarian and cultural interaction, etc. The second part of discussion was on The Subjects of Multilateral Collaboration in Southeastern Europe. Problems of Institutionalisation. Participants listened to the leading report of His Excellency Venelein Tzatchevsky, Former Ambassador of Bulgaria in Finland and Estonia as well as the student works about The Stability Pact, The Organization for The Black Sea Collaboration, etc.

The simulative game of working out and signing the Declaration of the Process for Collaboration in Southeastern Europe performed the presentation of the project-document, argumentation-exposition of each from the twelve states in the region, additional discussion and clarification of positions, announcement of the final results as well as the awarding of the best performed three student teams. They were determined by the authoritative jury and its members – His Excellency Venelin Tzatchevsky, Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Velko Marinov and Prof. Dr. Anton Petrov.
