Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kristalina Georgieva Met with Students at the UNWE

A priority desire of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, after being awarded the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa of UNWE, was to meet and talk with students. In the Small Conference Hall of UNWE she met with representatives of the Student Council, the National Representation of Student Councils and students from the UNWE.

In the meeting took part the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov, the Chairman of the Student Council Angel Stoykov and Daniel Parushev, Chairman of the National Representation of Student Councils in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The meeting was held as a discussion between the students and the honorary guest. Various actual issues from the world of economics, monetary policy and business were discussed. Assoc. Prof. Georgieva shared her valuable practical experience with the students by giving them useful guidance and discussed the difficulties of joining the Eurozone due to high inflation.

During the discussion

Angel Stoykov invited Assoc. Prof. Georgieva to write a message to the student community in the Honorary Book of the Student Council.
