The Future of the ASECU University Network and the European Group of Territorial Cooperation HELICAS Was Discussed at the UNWE

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov met with Prof. Grigoris Zarotiadis - Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and President of the ASECU University Network, and Anastasiadis Janis - Director of the European Group of Territorial Cooperation HELICAS, who visited UNWE at the invitation of the Rector. In the meeting also took part the Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Assoc. Prof. Mihail Musov.

The conversation was focused on the future opportunities for joint work in three areas:

• deepening the cooperation between the UNWE and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the opportunity of including the university as a partner in the project "Economic Education in Bulgaria 2030";
• development of the ASECU University Network and its ASECU Youth Association, in particular the forthcoming 18th ASECU International Conference in Albania and the 11th ASECU Youth Conference and Summer School in the Slovak Republic;
• intensifying the activities of the European Group of Territorial Cooperation HELICAS in which the UNWE is one of the founders, and preparing it for the new programming period.

During the meeting it was agreed that the following General Assembly of the Territorial Group in which the UNWE is one of the founders would be held at our university in June of the current year. Then the new representatives of UNWE in the General Assembly of HELICAS are to be elected.
