UNWE and Bulgarian Posts Will Cooperate to Support the Electronic Services for the Population

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the Rector of the UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and Deyan Daneshky, CEO of Bulgarian Posts EAD /BP EAD/.

"Bulgarian Posts EAD is a long-standing partner of UNWE but today we are pleased to move to a new level and to strengthen our cooperation with our signatures", said the Rector Prof. Dimitrov. He outlined that "our university prepares personnel in specialties that cover the entire spectrum of socio-economic life. I am convinced that our partnership strengthens the relation "education - business" in the name of better professional realization of young people".

"In the spirit of the new vision which the Deputy Prime Minister Kalina Konstantinova has about our company as an important factor in digitalization and the role of BP EAD as an administrative point for electronic services to the population, we demand an educated personnel. I think that the UNWE - one of the largest universities in the country is the most appropriate place to find them", said Deyan Daneshky.

UNWE and BP EAD will cooperate to implement and strengthen the relationship between business and academia awaring the necessity that the business should clearly contribute to the quality of education and professional realization of young people.

Both organizations will partner to create a working model with interrelations for students to acquire new knowledge and practical skills and provide career opportunities within the BP EAD system.
Work will also be done for upgrading the skills and competences of employees in both organisations and for developing the activity based on real practical-applied scientific expertise.

The document also stipulates that the UNWE will provide training in the field of economics, management and administration, information technology and team development for the BP EAD employees. The University will assist with up-to-date information about the UNWE graduating students in professional fields relevant to the specifics of the work at the BP EAD and on that ground a database of potential applications will be maintained when there are suitable vacancies.

BP EAD will assist for the regular contacts for participation in the career forums organized by the UNWE and other joint forms to exchange good practices related to the stimulation of knowledge transfer and innovation. The Company will provide conditions for organizing and conducting practical internships for the students in the BP EAD structural units and will provide information on an annual basis to the Inter-University Center for Career Development about the successfully performed students after an evaluation of the internship and opportunities for them to occupy appropriate vacant positions.
