UNWE Hosted Training on DIGI Women Project

UNWE hosted a joint Train-the-Trainer week, organized within the project DIGI Women - Tools for Digital Entrepreneurship and Support for Women Entrepreneurs" launched in 2020. The project is co-funded by the EU Erasmus+ Programme and its main objective is to develop a curriculum for training experts who will subsequently offer training and mentoring sessions in compliance with the demands of women entrepreneurs to digitalize their businesses and support them to overcome obstacles in this process.

During the training week the digital tools experts not only gained experience from the colleagues in the project partner countries but also from the women entrepreneurs invited to the event and learned about the latest research in entrepreneurship and related ecosystems.

The Rector Prof. Dimitrov is welcoming the participants

The Rector of the UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov welcomed the participants and ouitlined: "It is a pleasure to welcome you to our University at this important event organized by the Institute of Entrepreneurship and its Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kostadin Kolarov. This is a landmark project related both to the digitalization of business and to the women entrepreneurs". Prof. Dimitrov highlighted the rich experience of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and the lagre number of projects in the field implemented by the UNWE. "Nowadays there are many initiatives aimed not only at digitalization but also at more active involvement of women from different business spheres in this process. I am sure that the project will contribute to find even more effective solutions", added the Rector.

Assoc. Prof. Kolarov is presenting UNWE

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kostadin Kolarov, Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Project Coordinator from the UNWE presented the history and role of the Univeersity as a partner organization in the project emphasizing on the experience obtained over the years in the entrepreneurship education and related educational and research initiatives.

The curriculum provides digital entrepreneurship tools and support for women entrepreneurs, its partners are:

The meeting in Sofia was also attended by the partners from Latvia - cluster experts from the Baltic Sea Region - CEBSR, Latvia.

The curriculum, developed through the joint efforts of partners from the seven countries consists of eleven modules: four compulsory, four optional ones and three modules on pedagogical skills development. The programmme ultimate objective is to provide for women entrepreneurs to obtain such digital tools that will help them spread the information about their company products to a wide audience of consumers, increase the number of their customers, increase the company revenue as well as to increase the efficiency of their business.
