The Rector of UNWE Obtained One of the Highest Assessments for Implementation of Policies Set by the Ministry of Education and Science

Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of the University of National and World Economy and Secretary General of the Council of Rectors in the Republic of Bulgaria obtained from the Minister of Education and Science Corr. Member Prof. D.Sc./Chemistry/ Nikolay Denkov one of the highest annual evaluations for implementation of his management contract according to the policies set by the Ministry of Education and Science.

The report on the implementation of the UNWE development policy over the period 1 October 2020 – 30 September 2021 was adopted and obtained an annual assessment of 3.93 of maximum possible 4.00. Thus the success of implementation of the managerial objectives, tasks and target values set in the contract is estimated at 98.25%.

Since 2020 the management of universities is implemented in compliance with the policies approved by the Minister of Education and Science. For the UNWE they are divided into 6 major objectives: 1. Relevance, compliance, integrity of the acquired knowledge and skills; 2. Improving the quality of educational programmes by the use of educational forms, methods and technologies consistent with the characteristics of the modern generation of students; 3. Connectivity and partnership; 4. Development of the scientific activity; 5. Attracting and retaining young lecturers; 6. Public commitments of national importance.

The high result is not only a serious assessment for the efforts of our academic community but also an obligation – to continue defending devotedly the UNWE authority built for a century by generations of brilliant scientists and public figures.
