Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosen Kirilov

"The security problem has become very serious over the last years because the public institutions both across the country and in higher education are an object of particular interest. My intention is to be reported and upgraded all that has been achieved so far. It regards to student services as well as to all other systems that are important to the university. In this sense the major part of the activity will be to modernize technologically these systems, to bring them in such condition that they meet modern security requirements and to apply a comprehensive and new approach for managing the IT activities at UNWE", outlined Assoc. Prof. Kirilov.

The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov pointed out the reasons for the choice saying that "UNWE is a leading university in digitalization and over the last years it has developed its information infrastructure, incorporated electronic student books, electronic ledgers, electronic signing of exam protocols, an electronic platform for training was created that helped us when the virus surprised us very quickly, literally in two days, to move into a digital learning environment". Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov noted that “the situation we had to live and work showed us not only how important is the digitalization but also that the potential in this field is huge. This year the information technologies have developed a lot that`s why from now on they will provide even more opportunities which itself requires to open the new Vice-Rector position.
