Double Holiday Celebrated The Department of Marketing and Strategic Planning
Department of Marketing and Strategic Planning celebrated its 60th Anniversary by a double holiday – an official assembly for its jubilee and a ceremony for handing in diplomas to Bachelors of speciality Marketing and speciality Prognostication and Plannimg – alumni 2011. At the event at the Maxima Aula attended a lot of lecturers, students, parents.
A report about the Jubilee-Department read Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.)Vasil Manov. In his one hour speech he exposed a lot of details from the long standing history of the university unit. He spoke about the academism and professionalism of such eminent scientists as Acad. Evgeny Mateev who is called the Patriarch of Bulgarian Economic Science as well as Corr. Mbr. Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Ivan Iliev, Former Rector of UNWE and a doyen of the speciality who attended at the official assembly. Prof. Manov outlined the role and the place of the Department not only at national but at international level. An amazing attractive center, a hearth of real knowledge about anatomy and physiology of the economic science, an exclusive authority, a center forming professional skills and habits, a standard of educational institution - that`s how Prof. Manov qualified the Department of Marketing and Strategic Planning.

You are set aside for being ambassadors of the real knowledge. You are not prepared for being contemplators and registering clerks, turned Prof. Manov to graduating students at the hall. No one is higher than the knowledge – neither a personality, nor an ideology or political system, said also the Professor who wished the graduated Bachelors not to forget that the university is their second home.
Special greetings to the Jubilee-Department on behalf of the Rector of UNWE presented Prof. Valentin Kisimov, Vice-Rector of the university. I don`t know whether you realize what a great speciality you graduate, said Prof. Kisimov as he illustrated the opportunities of the marketing by some eloquent examples. Prof. Kisimov bestowed also diplomas to the excellent Bachelors of both specialities.

Graduating students from speciality Marketing and speciality Prognostication and Planning expressed their gratitude to the university and to their lecturers from the Department as they appreciated their four-year road gone past at the best university.
