Students from the Eco Club UNWE Planted A White Pine Tree in the University Yard

Tuesday, 16 April 2019 10:20

The students from the Eco Club UNWE planted a white pine tree (Pinus Sylvestris) in the university yard. It absorbs annually 23 kg of carbon dioxide when it grows. Planting a tree is part of the green campaign of UNWE Eco Club. In the frameworks of the campaign during the autumn of 2018 saplings were planted near the student dormitories – block No. 59, 60 and 61.

The planted white pine tree is a symbol of the development of Eco Club UNWE and the idea of students to cultivate the environment where they study, work and live. Their message is: “We are strong together, we can be a good model and the small changes lead to the great success”.

The Eco Club UNWE is thankful to the UNWE Managing body for the assistance in the implementation of the initiative.
