Graduate of UNWE Will Manage UniCredit Bulbank

Teodora Petkova, who has Master`s Degree in Finance from the UNWE, is the new Chairwoman of the Management Board and CEO of UniCredit Bulbank. It is at the decision of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bulbank and will come into force on 1 May 2019 after the required regulatory approvals are implemented by the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB).

Petkova will replace Levon Hampartzoumian, graduate of UNWE, who will leave his position at the end of his mandate in the end of April 2019, after 18 successful years as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of UniCredit Bulbank. He will continue working at the Bank and will assume supervisory functions.

“Teodora has the necessary leadership qualities to continue the successful management of UniCredit Bulbank so we welcome her in the new role”, declared Carlo Vivaldi, Head of CEE Division at UniCredit, cited by the website of the Bank.

“I am very happy to be given this opportunity and I look forward to working with the team to build on the successful legacy of UniCredit Bulbank, said Teodora Petkova who is the current Chief Risk Officer and member of the Management Board of the Bank.She started her career in the Bank as a credit analyst in 2002 and became senior manager of the corporate credit team in 2007. In the period 2009-2015, Teodora was Head of the Credit Risk Department of the Bank. Then she gained cross-divisional business experience as Head of International Center in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, managing the relationship with the international and multinational corporates, having Bulgarian establishments. She is part of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Consumer Financing and has years of experience as part of the Board of Directors of UniCredit Factoring.
