Video Conference on the Role of Caucasus Region in the Balkan Energy Security

The international Economic Relations and Business Department and the Institute of Social Research and Development of Cultural Structures (ISIRKS) in a partnership with the student organization Future World Diplomats to the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) organized a Video Conference on the Role of Caucasus Region in the Balkan Energy Security.

As representatives of UNWE in the Forum took part Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Dimitar Hadzhinikolov and students of specialities International Economic Relations and Law (in the picture below).

As representatives of MGIMO in the Video Conference took part Boris Ananiev from the Political Theories Department and students from the Management and Politics Department (in the picture below).

In the Forum there were discussions on the role and potential of Caucasus region in the field of energy security and diversification of energy sources on the Balkans. Among the topics for the Video Conference was also the importance of Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) for the Southern Gas Corridor as well as the construction of gas hub in Bulgaria, role of Caucasus region in the Russian Federation Energy Strategy, etc.
