The Rector Signed an Agreement of Dual Master`s Degree Programme between the UNWE and EUBA in the Presence of Presidents of Bulgaria and Slovakia

Dual Master`s Degree Programme between the UNWE and the University of Economics – Bratislava (EUBA) signed the Rectors of both academic institutions – Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev and Prof. Ferdinand Dano. It was held in the presence of the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and the Slovak President Andrej Kiska during the official visit of the Bulgarian Head of State in Bratislava. Prof. Stattev was member of the official Bulgarian delegation.

Five years ago – in November 2013 in Bratislava Prof. Statty Stattev and Prof. Ferdinand Dano who was First Vice Rector of EUBA at that time signed an Agreement of Cooperation between both universities. It was held again in the presence of both Presidents of both countries at that time - Rosen Plevneliev and Ivan Gašparovic (in the picture below).  

The Agreement of Dual Master`s Degree Programme is in the frameworks of the Agreement of Cooperation signed in 2013. The document provisions that the education implemented at one of the academic institutions will be recognized by the other academic institution so it provides the opportunity for students of two years full time study in Master`s degree programmes of EUBA as well as for students of two years full time study in Master`s degree programmes of UNWE to obtain diploma from both universities.

After the signing of the Agreement Prof. Stattev visited the EUBA where discussed with his colleague Prof. Dano the activities that both universities could undertake to implement the dual Master`s degree programme.

EUBA is the largest university in Slovakia. It has 7 Faculties where study nearly 8000 students in 19 Bachelor`s degree, 31 Master`s degree and 16 Doctoral degree programmes accredited in compliance with the study programmes of the economic universities in Europe. The number of the university graduates since its establishment 78 years ago till now is 101 254. EUBA pursues extensive international cooperation with more than 230 universities and colleges all over the world.
