Lecturer from the UNWE Won the Prize of the Centre for Economic History Research

In February 2018 it was held the annual General Assembly session of the Centre for Economic History Research (CEHR) whose founders and members are the lecturers from the Economic History Section at Political Economy Department of UNWE.

Biennially the members of CEHR determine by voting the research with the largest contribution to the economic history development in Bulgaria. The General Assembly decided to confer the first prize for contribution to the economic history research on Assoc. Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Pencho Penchev from the UNWE who was also voted as member of the Management Council of the Center.

The distinction is a recognition for UNWE as an academic center where work authoritative researchers in the field of Bulgarian economic history as well as the only university which has an accredited Doctoral degree programme in Economic History.

The CEHR supports and encourages the development of economic history research, promotes the achievements in the field among the academic community, prepares a new economic history of Bulgaria as well as bibliographic reference book of all economic history research published in the country and abroad by Bulgarian scientists.
