Public Lecture on the Electricity Market Specifics

The energy is a key industry so the topic of today`s public lecture on the Electricity Market Specifics is very important and It is organized by Sofia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CEZ Group, declared Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Hristo Parvanov, Director of the Center for Energy Business and Infrastructure at UNWE (in the picture below).

The idea of the lecture is to make students know about the electricity trade, said Karel Kral, CEZ Regional Manager for Bulgaria (in the picture below) and examined the electricity trade mechanisms, fixing of prices, etc.

The lecturer examined the regulated and unregulated electricity market and explained the hidden risks. According to his words the business in Bulgaria and Europe is very risky and lots of examples prove it. The bankrupt of the trader, however, is not always due to systematically bad market. The energy is a fast-changing sector and it will continue changing at a high pace in the future, declared Karel Kral.

Our company vision includes to be a market leader and major supplier for the industry, said Atanas Dimov, Energy Balance Director at CEZ Trade (in the picture below). He spoke about the electricity market in Bulgaria and defined the hourly and balancing electricity market with two price system as the main trade markets.
