On 20 – 21 November 2017 it was successfully carried out the accreditation procedure for the specialities Business Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the EQD of Bachelor and EQD of Master at the Logistics Department of UNWE by the European Logistics Association (ELA).

After a comprehensive examination and comparison of academic plans and programmes the Commission on Accreditation verified the conformity of education at the Department with the certification standards developed by the ELA in compliance with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The ELA standards have a wide recognition by the business and they are adopted by the authoritative institutions as the World Bank, European Investment Bank (EIB) and the UN in the elaboration of various mechanisms and policies to enhance the logistician effectiveness.

The education in Logistics at the Department covers more than 80% of the requirements for the first qualification level - European Junior Logistician – EJLog and for the second one - European Senior Logistician – ESLog without necessity of examination. Having in mind the high level of education at the UNWE for obtaining the certificate it is required only an interview to appraisers from the National Certificate Center of ELA for Bulgaria for approving three years of relevant professional experience.
