UNWE and Technical University Are Ready for Participation in the Project of Textron Systems and Rheinmetall Group

Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev, Rector of UNWE and Prof. Dr. Engineer Lyubomir Dimitrov, Vice Rector of the Technical University took part in a Press-Conference where the companies Textron Systems and Rheinmetall Group presented their Programme for development and manufacture of new armoured force product in Bulgaria. Prof. Stattev and Prof. Dimitrov guaranteed that the scientific community in Bulgaria has at its disposal the necessary capacity for active participation in such a project and it is ready for being a serious partner in the initiative.

The Chairman of the Bulgarian Defence Industry Association (BDIA) Acad. Stefan Vodenicharov emphasized on the serious economic benefits for Bulgaria if it becomes a center for production of new defence product without any competition.
