Lecturer from the UNWE Participated in the International Accreditation Commission of ISCTE - Instituto Universitario de Lisboa, Portugal

As a member of the International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs (ICAPA), Brussels, Belgium, Prof. Dr. Polya Katsamunska from the Public Administration Department took part in the Expert Commission on International Accreditation of the Programme for MSc in Public Administration of ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal.

ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal (ISCTE-IUL) is a state university established in 1972. At the University study about 10 000 students – 46% of them in Bachelor`s degree programmes and 54% in Master`s degree programmes. The Programme for MSc in Public Administration is offered by the School of Sociology and Public Policy, Department of Political Science and Public Policy and Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology.

In compliance with the accreditation rules of the International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs (ICAPA), Brussels, Belgium, the procedure for obtaining an international accreditation requires a visit by an expert commission. The International Expert Commission visited the ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal in the period of 19 – 21 June. The Commission was comprised of three members from the International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs (ICAPA), Brussels, Belgium: Allan Rosenbaum, Florida International University, USA; Rachel Emas, Rutgers University, USA and Prof. Polya Katsamunska from the UNWE.
