Open Doors Day of Joint Master`s Degree Programme in European Business and Finance between The UNWE and Nottingham Trent University

In a meeting with students it was presented the joint Master`s Degree Programme in European Business and Finance between the UNWE and Nottingham Trent University, UK. Chief Assist. Dr. Diana Miteva from the Finance Department, Director and Coordinator of the Programme and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Nenkov, former Head of the Programme spoke about the conditions of application, education of Master students and realization of graduates.

The most important news about the Programme is that for 2017 only 10 places of state order are provisioned, outlined Dr. Miteva. The joint Master`s Degree Programme is implemented in the frameworks of four semesters as two of them are carried out in Bulgaria, the third – at the Nottingham Business School and the fourth semester includes a compulsory internship and preparation of Master`s thesis, informed the Director of the Programme. “It is a chance to obtain Bulgarian diploma as well as a full right British one at preferential financial conditions”, pointed out Dr. Miteva and added that the education is completely structured on the English educational system. She outlined that the UNWE has participated in the Programme since 2007 and in the current year it`s the tenth alumni. In the Programme also participates the Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic and the University of Economics, Katowice, Poland.

Students

The realization of graduates is 100% as more of them work at large international companies. Education in small groups in the English language, personal attention as well as a schedule appropriate for working students are only some of the advantages of the Programme.

In September the applicants go in for unified entering exam for application in Master`s degree programmes and exam in the English language. The duration of education in Nottingham is three months, clarified Dr. Miteva. She outlined that the academic lessons at Nottingham Trent University are held from Monday to Friday and the presence is compulsory. The students can be accommodated in dormitories, lodgings or houses of Bulgarian families. Regarding the finance the Coordinator of the Programme pointed out that for Bulgaria the tuition fee in the paid form of education for the first and second semester is 1800 BGN and for the places of state order is paid according to the tuition fees appointed for all Master`s degree programmes at the UNWE. In the UK the tuition fee is 2650 British pounds. In the fourth semester the tuition fee is 250 BGN. There are also opportunities for a scholarship on the Erasmus+ Programme and the right to obtain it is given to the first six Master students who can obtain also European scholarship.

Nottingham is one of best cities for living. It is a cultural, sports and economic center and more than 60 000 students study in it. The Nottingham Trent University is one of the leaders in the United Kingdom.
