The case study is worked out by the participation of Chief Assist. Dr. Michael Musov, Scientific Secretary of the Accountancy and Analysis Department and Coordinator for the partnership agreement between the UNWE and ICAEW. It is published on the official webpage of the Institute - see here.

UNWE has been an ICAEW partner on the “Partners in Learning” scheme since the end of 2014. The partnership was implemented in the frameworks of the project “НИД НИ 1–1/2013” aimed at achieving internationally recognized profile of education at the Finance and Accountancy Faculty of UNWE. The project was initiated by the Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. Snezhana Basheva and successfully managed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rumyana Pozharevska. A huge contribution to the project realization had: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvia Trifonova, Chief Assist. Dr. Hristo Mavrudiev, Chief Assist. Dr. Toma Donchev, Doctoral student Nikolay Katsarsky and Sen. Lect. Kalina Bratanova. In the frameworks of the project the ICAEW has accredited the education in all Bachelor`s degree programmes at Finance and Accountancy Faculty. The graduates of these Bachelor`s Degrees receive Credits for Prior Learning (CPL) for the first six modules of the ICAEW ACA professional qualification (15 modules in totals). Thus the UNWE has become one of the few universities in the world providing the most industry-relevant education n accountancy, finance and financial control. Actual information about the CPLs granted to our students can be found here

In the next academic year the UNWE plans starting a new Master`s degree programme in Finance and Accountancy taught in the English which will upgrade the attained success. Further two credits of the ICAEW ACA qualification are expected and will be confirmed in due course.
