Representatives of Seven Chinese Universities Visited The UNWE

The Rector Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev met with the representatives of seven Chinese universities: Tongji University, Beijing University of Technology, University of International Business and Economics –Beijing, University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Xi’an Shiyou University, China University of Geosciences – Wuhan, Shandong University of Science and Technology. At the meeting attended Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paskal Zhelev, Secretary General for International Cooperation.

During the meeting

Prof. Stattev told the guests about the history and the presence of UNWE emphasizing on the leadership position of our university in the Bulgarian higher education. The representatives of Chinese academic circles made a short presentation of their universities and expressed their interest in cooperation with the UNWE in the exchange of students and lecturers, participation in joint research projects, opening of joint Master`s degree programmes, etc. They declared their desire to provide full scholarships for students from the UNWE to study in Master`s degree and Doctoral degree programmes in China in the frameworks of the Initiative for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (16+1).

The Rector signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the UNWE and the seven Chinese universities.
