Get familiar with the eParticipation Platforms of MyUniversity!

The project’s goal is to equip universities with an e-Participation platform that allows university members and stakeholders to actively participate in the higher education decision making process (locally and at European level). The platform has a powerful tools such as forum, participation processes tool, e-Petition, portal polls, comunication chanels, newsletters, news sections, calendar, etc.
This platform is based on the integration and customization of three existing platforms: Demos@Work, Gov2DemOSS and Pnyx.
That allows us to create a Forum with simple and easy to use forum board, with all forum levels of information- categories (boards), threads and user opinions.
The participation processes is another flexible tool that allows the creation of mini-sites within the portal. Each participation process consists of a description, a document repository and optionally additional tools such as a forum, a GIS system, etc.
The Petition is the component that gives the ability to any registered member of the portal to create a new e-Petition. When a new petition is submitted and approved, it can be signed by the registered users of the portal.
We can create Polls. A poll consists of a subject and a number of predefined answers. Users can vote directly for the featured poll, view the results or access the rest of the published polls.
The platform is also and communication chanel between the users true wich the visitors of the portal can create a new letters, which can be published on the portal after necessary approval.
MyUniversity portals give their visitors the ability to subscribe to their newsletters. Additionally, current and past issues are published on the website for greater visibility. Apart from the newsletters the platform has and news section which displays the news articles uploaded to the portal. Registered users have the option to submit an article to the portal. Other options are: creating a PDF file out of the article, printing the article and sending the article through email.
Looking for more flexibility thе portals of MyUniversity feature an advanced and easy to use calendar of events for all their visitors. Users can view the events by year, month, week or day and search in the calendar. They can also propose an event to be included in the calendar after they log in. In this project we have 13 portals created true MyUniversity platform:
