In Scientific Councils Hall

“Very soon on the website of the Finance Department will be announced the detailed programme for each discipline”, clarified Dr. Miteva. The admission is implemented in September when is held a unified entrance examination for Master`s degree programmes and examination in English language.

The advantages of Master`s Degree programme were explained and it was pointed out that the education is in the English language according to the English standards in small groups where could be paid personal attention to each student. Master`s Degree programme is suitable for working students because the lessons in Bulgaria are held in the evenings or at the weekend and the most important thing is that students obtain Bulgarian and English diplomas.

The education in Nottingham is three months – from September to the middle of December. “The lessons are held from Monday to Friday and the presence is compulsory”, reminded the Programme Coordinator. There are various options for accommodation like dormitories, lodgings as well as houses of Bulgarian families. About the finance the attendees clarified that the tuition fee for the first and second semester in Bulgaria is 1800 BGN per semester and in the UK it is 2650 £ per semester. Assoc. Prof. Nenkov explained that “the tuition fee at the Nottingham Trent University is lower than the one at the other universities”. For the fourth semester the tuition fee is 250 BGN. There is an opportunity for scholarships on the Erasmus+ Programme and European scholarships.

Students in the hall

Assoc. Prof. Nenkov shared that so far the number of graduates from the Programme has been about 130 people. “In 2007 there were four students studying in the Programme but their number was increasing year by year”. “Graduates from the Programme search for a job mostly in the private sector and the English diploma is respected by the business”, said Assoc. prof. Nenkov.

“The greatest advantage of the Programme is that you have two diplomas”, said in the beginning of his comment Damyan. The student explained that the Programme is quite good by the financial point of view because “if you decide to study in the UK out of the Programme the tuition fees are considerably higher”. He pointed out that the double diploma provides lots of opportunities. “I am sure that wherever you give your CV you will receive a call back”.
