The Rector Awarded Certificates to The Winners in The National Competition in Applied Informatics and Statistics

The Rector of the university Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev awarded Certificates to the winners in the National Competition in Applied Informatics and Statistics which was held on 27 February at the UNWE Test Center. 21 pupils from the National Trade and Banking High School (NTBHS) were given Certificates which give them the right to apply successfully for the subfield of Applied Informatics, Communication and Econometrics for the next academic year.

At the ceremony attended Prof. Dr. Kamelia Stefanova, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Informatics and Statistics, Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschian, Deputy Chairwoman of the Association of Economic Schools in Bulgaria, Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Valentin Kisimov, Director of the Center for Computer Innovative Systems, Emilia Ivanova, Director of NTBHS, Danilea Gonkova, Assistant-Director of NTBHS.

The Rector is greeting the future students.

With the words “welcome in the large family of our university” the last year pupils were greeted by Prof. Feschian who also said that “the way to success goes through the UNWE”.

Dear new students, addressed to the winners in the Competition The Rector Prof. Stattev. You have made the correct choice of university which has the largest number of students and the highest rating in the country, outlined the Rector. We wait for you with joy on 19 September, on the first day of the new academic year, wished the new students success Prof. Stattev.  He also pointed out that the NTBHS had been provisioned to become the base high school for the UNWE and the admission at the university would be implemented on the base of grades for completed secondary education and results from the school-leaving exams.

It is your first achievement, keep your enthusiasm also for your future student years, greeted the winners in the Competition Prof. Kamelia Stefanova. She reminded that the innovations in the world of information technology had been implemented due to the young and talented people.

This year 95% of the graduates from the NTBHS have already become students at the UNWE, said Emilia Ivanova and expressed her thankfulness for the successful cooperation with the university. The Director of the elite secondary school pointed out that those were particularly smart and talented pupils who had won the prestigious National Competition. The UNWE is the top of economic higher education in the country and our NTBHS is the top of secondary education, outlined Emilia Ivanova.
