Our Lecturer Won Three New Gold Medals at the Balkan Athletics Championships

Prof. Dr. Septemvrina Kostova from the UNWE Economics of Trade Department won three gold medals at the 34th Balkan Athletics Championships for Veterans, held in Varazdin, Croatia. She got the top places in 1500 m, 3000 m, and 5000 m athletics competitions proving her excellent athletic form and champion spirit.

Prof. Kostova's career in athletics is more than inspiring. On the threshold of her 75th birthday she has participated in many marathons over the past 30 years, including those in New York, Berlin, Vienna, Sacramento and traditionally, in the marathon in Sofia.
