The Rector Awarded A Commemorative Medal to The Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev, Rector of UNWE took part in the Conference on the Auditing Profession in the Context of the New European Legislation organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria (ICPA). In his greeting to the participants in the Forum he outlined that ICPA is the only one national professional organization of certified accountants in our country and most of its members had been graduated from the UNWE.

The Academic Managing Body of UNWE considers as exceptionally positive the fact that the cooperation between the University of National and World Economy and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria continues to expand and become more and more profound, pointed out the Rector. Two years ago our cooperation was also institutionalized by the Framework Agreement which was signed by the Chairman of the Institute Mr. Boyko Kostov. It is not only a document of formality. The UNWE and ICPA are longstanding partners who work in the spirit of collegiality, mutual respect and understanding for the benefit of both institutions through the exchange of lecturers, implementation of roundtable conferences, discussions, public lectures and meetings with students. ICPA assists for the career development of our students. There is also something very important – through our partners from the Institute the education at the UNWE is closer to the practice, outlined the Rector.

Prof. Stattev awarded to the ICPA the Commemorative Medal of Prof. Stephan Bobchev – Founder and First Rector of UNWE for the development of useful cooperation between the University of National and World Economy and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria.
