The UNWE and The University of Sofia Signed A Memorandum of Joint Publishing and Distributive Activity

The University of National and World Economy and St. Climent Ohridsky University of Sofia signed a Memorandum of joint publishing and distributive activity.

The agreement was signed by both Rectors - Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev and Prof. D.Sc. (Hist.) Ivan Ilchev as well as by Veselun Angelov, Executive Director of the Publishing Complex of UNWE and Dimitar Radichkov, Director of St. Climent Ohridsky University Publishing House.

As main centers of science and higher education in Bulgaria both universities – UNWE and University of Sofia have one and the same concept about their mission of being leading educational and scientific institutions in forming highly qualified professionals and scientists needed for the development of Bulgarian state and the world science.

Both universities have a decade tradition in publishing and distribution of scientific knowledge and they are holders of the author rights for more than 10 000 works by Bulgarian scientists.

The duration of Memorandum is 5 years and in it is provisioned a promotion and support of joint publishing projects and united efforts in presenting the best and the latest works by scientists from both universities to state institutions, media and Bulgarian society.

In the Memorandum is also provisioned an agreed presentation of the best editions by scientists from the UNWE and University of Sofia to international juries and in international forums as well as planning and preparation of joint publishing and enlightenment campaigns devoted to important national events and anniversaries.

The UNWE and the University of Sofia will also unite their efforts for improving the publishing and polygraphic technologies used at the Publishing Complex of UNWE and St. Climent Ohridsky University Publishing House as they will mutually assist each other in the process of publishing activity.

Both Rectors decided to unite their efforts for creation of a common bookstore in the center of Sofia where can be found editions of all university publishers in the country.
