Fifth National Scientific Conference for Doctoral Students with International Participation

The different points of view and approaches of doctoral students to the issues discussed will help them to have a comprehensive picture of the complexity of the field which has an impact on the real economic practice – the management of companies and corporations, the management of economy at national and regional level. At the opening of the Fifth National Scientific Conference for Doctoral Students with international participation it was declared by Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Stanka Tonkova. I hope that you, young researchers, will give your contribution to the development and practical application of the strategic management in our country, outlined Prof. Tonkova.

Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Stanka Tonkova opened the scientific Forum.

In the Conference on the Organizations Starategic Management: from Methodology to the Application Practice participated Doctoral students from the UNWE, Free University of Varna, Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, Paisii Hiledarski University of Plovdiv, St. Climent Ohridski University of Sofia, University of Lodz (Poland) and the Institute of Economics and Industrial Engineering of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russia).

Doctoral students during the scientific Forum

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Venelin Boshnakov, Chief Secretary on Science greeted the participants in the Forum on behalf of the Academic Managing Body of UNWE. “I am impressed that so many young people concern with science nowadays because it is an activity for which is required a lot of enthusiasm, dedication, denial of many things”, outlined Assoc. Prof. Boshnakov. He wished success the Doctoral students in their future work: “Science is something eternal. It had been there before us, it will be there after us. Everyone should make an effort to leave some scientific and scientifically applied achievements”.

Prof. Dinko Dinkov expressed his thankfulness to Prof. Tonkova for the implementation of the project and declared that the topic of the Conference had met the ambitions set up by the European Union in its new strategy Europe 2020 - to rely on the knowledge and science to achieve economic growth. “In this strategy was given a special role of innovations and faster application of the new knowledge into practice. I am convinced our Conference today will show that the people who know a lot will reflect this imperative”.

In six sessions more than 30 Doctoral students presented their reports.
