Lectures about The Austrian Legal System

A course of lectures on Austrian Law started at the university. It is organized in the frameworks of the long-standing joint activity between the Law Faculty of UNWE and the Scientific Institute for Middle and Eastern European Business Law (FOWI) to the University of Economics and Business in Wien.  

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valchin Daskalov, Vice Dean on Scientific Research Activity of the Law Faculty introduced the first two lecturers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Martin Opitz, University of Wien, Institute of Private Law and Prof. Dr. Suzane Kals, LLM (Florence), Institute of Private and Entrepreneurship Law, University of Economics and Business in Wien.

Austria, Its Law and Justice System, Introduction to Austrian Corporate Law, Stock Companies and Limited Liability Companies, Joint Stock Company was the topic of the lecture which students listened interpreted also in the Bulgarian language. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Martin Opitz who is a lecturer on Stock Markets at the University of Wien explained to students the differences between the public and private law as well as the Austrian legal system features.

The next three lectures from the course will be in the German language without interpretation.

After the end of the lecture course students can sit up for an exam and obtain an Austrian diploma for the complete course from the Scientific Institute for Middle and Eastern European Business Law (FOWI), Wien.
